Eponymous Classifications
There are six eponymous classifications named after Dr Sunil Manjila. The Manjila radiologic sign (for venous communication to IVC on intravertebral phlebography during kyphoplasty), Manjila-Semaan grading for jugular bulb position in the skull base, Manjila grading of persistent falcine sinuses, Manjila classification of spinal epidural lipomatosis, Manjila Chiari Protocols 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 (for Chiari I malformation), and Manjila Sign in carpal tunnel syndrome. Manjila sign is the first and only bedside clinical sign that assesses function distal to the carpal tunnel and the only clinical sign testing motor function of the subretinacular long finger flexors. This also serves as the only objective clinical test that can be repeated to assess clinical progression, postoperative outcome, and predict early restenosis.
